July 2003 - My Dad hooked into a big 45 lb. King on Ship Creek. He originally hooked into this fish below the wire in the legal fishing area, but the fish was strong and put up a fight that Dad will never forget - about 15 minutes long. No matter how hard he tried to turn this fish, it was determined to go upstream. Yes, it is illegal to fish above the wire, but it is ok to fight a fish up there IF it takes you up there. He finally landed this fish as can be seen in another photo in this gallery.
