Andy Sorensen (ajstudio) > Volunteers at Bird TLC in Anchorage, Alaska prepare to examine an eagle. The gal on the left is placing a hood over the bird's head to help calm the bird during the exam. This bird was involved in a fish processing plant accident on Kodiak Island where approximately 50 eagles became entangled in fish guts and slime that was on a truck. 20 eagles drowned in the slime. 30 some eagles were shipped to Anchorage to be treated at the rehab center.
Andy Sorensen (ajstudio) > Kalinda Kindle of Anchorage kisses her first Kenai River rainbow trout, caught while fishing with guide Bobby Besch of Alaska Small and Personal Advenures. Bobby told Kalinda "You've gotta kiss the first for good luck!" Congrats on a fine fish Kalinda! And thanks for being a good sport and letting me take your portrait.

Andy Sorensen (ajstudio) > Gene Bryner - one of the most amazing individuals I have ever met, and an outstanding friend, hunter & Alaskan outdoorsman. Gene passed away in July 2006 while training for his next sheep hunt. I will remember him always and treasure the moments we spent together in Alaska's backcountry - hunting, fishing, and just hiking. Gene was a sheep hunter, as you can tell by his trophy room. I hunted several times with Gene, and though we never killed any sheep together, we had some great and memorable hunts. I'll see you again someday, Gene, in that Great Land beyond the sky.
