Every year during the Fur Rendezvous Festival held in Anchorage, Alaska, a fur auction is held in the downtown parking lot near the carnival. The lot overlooks the Ship Creek area and provides a central location where the sale of Fish & Game items as well as other fur sales take place. This is an unusual event given the politcally incorrect nature of trapping these days, but one worth taking in. I enjoyed the people and activities at this event. I hope from these photos that you are able to get a small taste of this.
